Adelaide Floristry School Terms and Conditions

Prior to enrolling in any course at Adelaide Floristry School it is imperative that you thoroughly read through our Terms and Conditions.

The following terms and conditions apply to each enrolment for the attendance of floristry courses conducted by Ms. Vanessa Miglis through Adelaide Floristry School in Australia, (herein defined collectively as “the school” and includes. any of it’s teachers) to the student (I, me, my, student, you, your). These terms supersede any previous written or oral agreements or understandings if any entered into between the school and the student in connection with the provision of the course.

We kindly advise that the photos and graphics you see on our website are meant to be used as a reference only. We visit the flower markets every week to select fresh local blooms however flowers are subject to seasonal availability so please bear in mind that the colours and types of flowers we feature in our classes may vary.

Credit Notes

If you are no longer able to attend the Course due to extenuating circumstances you may be eligible for a credit note. For example, if you have paid for the Course in full and in Week 5 you find that you are unable to attend the remainder of the Course, you may be issued with a Credit note for the remaining 5 weeks of the Course. In other words, you will be issued a Credit note for each week you have paid but not attended. Credit notes must be used within 2 months of non-attendance. Credit notes will not be issued for failure to attend class, without prior notification, nor failure to pay for class.

If you are unable to attend a class but are still able to complete the Course please notify your Lecturer and you will be able to arrange collection of your materials to complete the tuition online. In order to be eligible for a Credit you must notify the School of your inability to attend class 72 hours prior to the commencement of class. 72 hours cancellation notice is required because there are costs for the School associated with the purchasing of stock and administration.

Credit notes must be used within 2 months of the date of issue. Credit notes can only be used to attend another Class/Course/Workshop. If the Credit note is the same value of the make-up Class/Course/Workshop you wish to attend, you will not be required to pay any further fees. If the cost of the Class/Course/Workshop exceeds the amount of the Credit note you will be required to pay the difference in fees. The Credit note does not cover the cost of floral materials required for the class, they can only be used to pay for course fees. The Credit note cannot be used to purchase flowers, floral materials, products, nor sundries from the Adelaide Floristry School. There is no monetary refund for cancellations.

Cancellations

Please notify the School of any cancellation of attendance at least 72 hours prior via email info@adelaidefloristryschool.com or text message / phone 0424 027 442.

Termination Policy

Students’ enrolment in Adelaide Floristry School’s courses - Industry Ready, Short Courses and Workshops can be suspended/terminated at any time by the discretion of Vanessa Miglis, School Director.

The suspension/termination of a student can also occur when the student is working on public floral installations, any public worksite and/or during the work experience programme.

Grounds for suspending/terminating enrolment at Adelaide Floristry School include but is not limited to illegal activity; inappropriate behaviour, bullying and harassment, disrespectful and demeaning behaviour towards employees of Adelaide Floristry School and other students; unwillingness to listen to instruction and direction; disinterested and poor attitude towards floristry instructors and other students; disruptive behaviour during class and outside of class hours; inappropriate behaviour when working offsite (in public and work experience placements) as representatives of Adelaide Floristry School; negative comments on social media about Adelaide Floristry School, employees and class members; breaches of confidentiality; failure to meet standard payment requirements for course tuition as well as disrespectful behaviour towards floristry suppliers and other contractors/florists in the industry.

If students engage in any or some of these behaviours or any other behaviour considered inappropriate they will be issued a verbal warning by Vanessa Miglis. Failure to modify said behaviour will result in immediate suspension/expulsion, depending on the severity of the behaviour, from the School and Floristry Course(s). The student will be requested to leave the premises promptly and may only return to collect personal belongings upon the discretion of Vanessa Miglis.

Legal action will be taken against any suspended/expelled if the student proceeds to disseminate any negative criticism of the School or anyone else affiliated with the School, (for example instructors, students, suppliers, florists) on Social Media platforms.

Suspended/expelled students will still be liable for the remainder of the course fees.
