What do I need to bring to class?
If you have booked into a workshop or a 10-week short course with a gift voucher, please bring it to class.

You will also need a florist’s toolkit and an apron - these can be purchased from Adelaide Floristry School prior to your class and it will be given to you on the day you attend. It is also a good idea to bring a notebook and pen so you can take notes during the course.

What class do you recommend if I want to become a florist?
We advise all students to start with our 10-week Seed short course before choosing our Industry Ready programme.

Can I study for fun at Adelaide Floristry School?
Absolutely! Our 2-hour workshops and 10-week short courses are ideal if you want to learn a new skill or hobby, or just let your creativity flow. Adelaide Floristry School is a safe place where all ages, genders and lifestyles are welcome.

Are the flowers included in the course fees?
YES! All flowers and sundries needed to conduct classes in our studio are provided.

Online students will need to purchase their own flowers.


What is included in a florist's tool kit?
Florist scissors (snips), ribbon scissors, florist knife, 22 gauge wire, 1 roll of parafilm, 1 small container of Chrysal flower food, flower stripper and twine.


What facilities are provided at the school?
We have a tea and coffee station, a small fridge for your lunch and bottled water.

Can I keep the arrangements I have made?
Yes! All arrangements made by you are yours to take home and keep. We also recommend that course participants take your arrangements apart and recreate them at home. Floristry is a learned skill and we highly encourage practicing your designs!

Is Adelaide Floristry School eco-friendly?

At Adelaide Floristry School, we believe that being environmentally friendly is an important part of our services. That's why we make every effort to reduce our carbon footprint and conserve water whenever possible. We enforce strict recycling rules and have even implemented power-saving procedures in our studio.

We also encourage our students to create designs with re-usable products like chickenwire and we host several workshops and classes where students can learn about eco-friendly techniques.



Is Adelaide Floristry School an RTO (Registered Training Organisation)?
Adelaide Floristry School is a private training provider that is independent and follows current industry standards.

Upon completion of a 10-week short course, you will receive a certificate of completion.

Our Industry Ready 12-month programme provides you with all the skills you need to succeed as a florist in the industry. We also offer exclusive internship opportunities with retail florists as well as the opportunity to intern directly with Vanessa.

Will I receive a certificate?
Upon completion of a 10-week short course, you will receive a certificate of completion.

Industry Ready participants will only receive the Adelaide Floristry School certificate of completion until the graduation evening, provided you have successfully completed all theory assignments, in-class practical exams and the final installation.

What happens if I cannot attend a class?
Please email Vanessa at info@adelaidefloristryschool.com to arrange for your flowers to be either delivered to your home (at an additional cost) or collected from the studio. You can make up the missed class from the comfort of your own home We will send you a video with instructions on how to make up the course.

How long do I have access to the online courses?
You have lifetime access to all online courses and associated materials. So you can watch them as often as you like to practise your floristry skills.

Please note that all deposits paid are non-refundable. Adelaide Floristry School has a limited number of students for each course so that our instructors have the opportunity to provide you with individual attention and tuition. Deposits paid secure your place on the course.

Is parking available?
Students cannot park in the car park before 6pm and must park on Ashford Street. Industry Ready students and day courses have a set time to move their cars.
